We are upgrading our website to serve you better!

Visit South West Scotland is upgrading our website. We aim to make the site work better for visitors and for our members. We’re adding a lot of functionality and making the site more consistent and easier to use.

Now we need you to play your part.

Please review your listing by 22nd October.

We have migrated over your listing from the old site to the new one, which we plan to push the live in November. But because of all of the changes we’ve made, we now need you to review your listing on the new site ahead of the launch. The new listing editor is easier to use and we have put together a user guide to walk you through it. You can login to the new site editor using you existing login.

Don’t worry if you’ve forgotten your login, simply enter the email linked to the account and hit the Lost your password button. An email will be sent to you to allow you update your password.

Below is a list of the key changes/updates to member listing pages.

Imagery – our new image gallery displays your images in a larger format than before. We have a new minimum size of 600 pixels wide, so some images brought across from the old site may not display on your new page. Please ensure your listing has a set of imagery that shows off your business to its best on the new site.

Description – to deliver a consistent feel for users and make the site easier navigate, we now only allow text in your business description. We have migrated across your description from the current site. But any imagery that was in the description has been removed, this means you will need to remove any reference to those images in your copy. It is also a great opportunity to refresh your content and make sure it’s the best it can be. We’ve included tips on writing copy in our user guide which you will find as soon as you login.

Features – we have introduced lots of additional listing features information in a standardised format making it much easier for visitors to your page to quickly see what your listing offers.

Booking Widget – we are now facilitating booking widgets so you can allow visitors to book directly on your page. These are of course optional, if you don’t add them, you can either add a booking link or even just a website link (in which case we’ll offer visitors an enquiry form to encourage them to get in touch with you). Accommodation providers have the option of adding an ical link to allow page visitors to browse availability whilst remaining on your page.

Reviews – As we all know customer evidence is vital when it comes to converting bookings, so we now facilitate inclusion of TripAdvisor, Feefo and Upfront reviews on your listing page. If your customers are raving about your business, make sure you let our visitors see that!
