Showcase Your Business with SSDA

As a member of Visit South West Scotland (VSWS), if you have a tourism offering based in Dumfries and Galloway, then you are entitled to a variety of benefits from the South of Scotland Destination Alliance (SSDA) at no extra cost to you!

Below is an update from the SSDA team about one of them. With the SSDA’s new Product Awareness Event, you have a chance to showcase your business. NB Deadline for the first set of businesses is 12 noon on Fri 15th Jan 2021.

SSDA is delighted to launch the first event series developed for you by our team, focusing on Product Awareness.

We want to give member businesses like yours, the opportunity to showcase your offering and strengthen your profile within the local tourism business community.

If you are looking to use this time to build your resilience going forward, then strengthening your local network is definitely a worthwhile activity.

How well do your neighbours really know your business?

Could you be improving the footfall that you receive from local and in-destination word-of-mouth?

Or collaborating more effectively with complimentary businesses in your area and in doing so, raise your profile to reach new or pivoted audiences?

SSDA will be hosting a series of Product Awareness webinars to help us all get to know each other a little bit better and we have a number of 5-minute presentation slots available for our first event which will be held on 26th January between 3-4pm.

A 5-minute slot enables you to showcase your tourism business and any new developments that you want to promote to the local tourism business community as part of the webinar. There is no charge to participate as we are keen to see as many businesses learning about each other as possible in order to strengthen our collective resilience and collaboration.

Once all slots are filled, we will share and communicate to Tourism businesses across the South of Scotland to encourage them to join this webinar to hear from you and your business.

As part of the featured panel, you will be included across the pre-event teaser promotion going out to tourism businesses in the South of Scotland to attract attendance. All attendees will also receive information and contact details for all 10 businesses showcased post-event.

Registration for attendees will open early the week commencing 18th January with details of those presenting.

To request a presentation slot for your business, at no charge to you, please download and complete this form and return it to marianne@ssdalliance.com by Friday 15th January 12 noon in full.

Please note: Presentation slots will be allocated on a first come first serve basis to members only (Individual Businesses & Operators, Stand Alone Events and Social Enterprises). Failure to complete the form in full will mean we are unable to allocate a slot for your business.

Once all initial slots are filled and depending on demand, we will release future dates in the series and make further slots available.

Taking advantage of this chance to platform your business profile will help you to keep your business visible and your messaging current, as well as exposing you to potential new and innovative collaborative local partnership and growth opportunities; all of which will help strengthen the foundation of your markets.

If you have any further questions, please get in touch with marianne@ssdalliance.com for this series of events.

Make the most of all SSDA events and training opportunities by keeping an eye on their website at www.ssdalliance.com/events where they will be adding new listings over the coming weeks, and where you can also find details of broader industry events that you may wish to take advantage of. Please note that some will have no charge and some may have a nominal fee depending on membership level.
