Quality Local Produce

Locally sourced produce is important to us. Our aim is to support local suppliers whenever possible and take advantage of the wealth of high quality produce that Scotland and Dumfries and Galloway itself has to offer.

We have a minimum waste policy. Frequent small deliveries of fresh produce ensure the quality of our dishes and also minimise waste. We utilise the recycling facilities and manage to recycle a significant portion of our waste.

THE RESTAURANT

Customers can relax in the lounge with log fire, enjoy a casual lunch or pre-dinner drink before going to their table in the modern rustic dining room.  The bespoke lighting, driftwood bar and original artwork are often a talking point of the dining room.

Outdoor seating out the front and back garden terrace is available those sunny day. Cyclist and dog owners are welcome to use these spaces too.

The friendly, attentive service, warm and cosy atmosphere and passion for food all make your Pheasant visit a memorable one.

NEARBY

The location is great for exploring The Machars area.  There are beautiful coastal walks from Garlieston, St Ninians Cave and St Medians near Monreith. Nearby Kilsture forest has many pathways to make a quick stroll for a breath of fresh air or a longer walk with the dog. The huge beech trees that line the southern edge of the woods and the blankets of bluebells when in season are both magical.
