We welcome visitors to experience playing in a magical place. It is a gem among rural courses in Scotland and noted for its superb natural greens and views.
New Galloway Golf Club members are proud of their golf course and feel it is probably the best 9 hole golf course in Scotland.
The course climbs from a traditional clubhouse in a woodland setting up the first two holes to open moor land where golfers may enjoy views of Loch Ken and the surrounding Galloway Hills. It is kept in superb condition and it is noted for its natural greens and fairways. The playing experience is heightened by quality of the turf benefiting from an abundance of bents and fescue type grass

The Cafe at Clatteringshaws and visitor centre is open all year round and is dog friendly.

Craigengillan Estate
“Where natures magic grows”
Nestled deep within the grounds of Craigengillan Estate sit two beautifully restored cottages.
The cottages named ‘Forget Me Not’ and ‘Find Me Out’ sit peacefully in a sunny woodland glade by the banks of the rushing Glessel burn.
Whether you want somewhere to escape the hustle and bustle of the city or provide the perfect environment to celebrate that special moment, whatever the reason, we are sure our self service cottages will be perfect.
Find Me Out cottage has a double bedroom, bed can be split into two singles, a living room with a cosy log fire and sofa bed that sleeps two and a traditional kitchen, complete with a working Aga. A secure fenced garden for the dogs to play in, or the children to play safely in.
Forget Me Not, thatched cottage has a double bedroom upstairs, that can be split into two singles,(with option of extra bed), a double bedroom downstairs with a log fire, (with the option of another bed in there too). The kitchen/living room is complete with working aga. Has a sofa bed that can accommodate another two. Shower toilet downstairs, and bathroom upstairs. Secure fenced garden to the rear of the property that allows dogs and children to play safely.
Outdoors, there are a wide variety of things to see and do during your stay. From the Ness Glen gorge walk, to some fishing and outdoor activities, we have something for everyone.
Galloway Activity Centre Accommodation
Galloway Activity Centre has a range of different accommodation on offer including Mongolian Yurts, Camping Cabins, budget bunkhouse rooms, Safari Tent and luxury off grid eco-bothies. All are available whether booking into activities or just here for the scenery.
Mongolian Yurts – sleeping up to 6 around a log burning stove, this is a great way to escape with something a little different. Basic self catering facilities are provided
Camping Cabins – comfortable wooden cabins down by the loch with lighting, heating and electricity
Geodesic Dome – equipped with a wood burner, sleeps up to four and commands stunning views over Loch Ken
Safari Tent – Stunning views over the loch and sleeping 5 in two separate bedrooms
Bunkhouse – Our 20 bed bunkhouse can be booked for exclusive use or by individuals. 5 bedrooms and a central living/dining area
Eco Bothies – Luxury off grid accommodation with wood fired hot tubs
