About Cruggleton Castle Walk

This is approximately half a days walk to Cruggleton Castle once owned by of the Earls of Galloway. Walkers are advised to follow the path there and back. Path can be muddy in places. For more information please see the attached PDF map.

Signs explain the building of Mulberry Harbours for D-Day in WW2. A visit to the Designed Landscaped Garden is worth factoring in especially in June when a rare Handkerchief tree might be spied in full bloom. This is across farmland so ‘know the code before you go’.
