Home » Attraction » Newton Stewart Angling Association

Newton Stewart & District Angling Association was founded over 50 years ago to provide fishing for local anglers at an affordable price.

Starting with just a handful of members, the Association has grown steadily over the years and now boasts a membership of around 300. In addition to local members, the club offers visiting anglers the opportunity to fish for salmon and seatrout in the Rivers Cree and Bladnoch, and for brown and rainbow trout in numerous lochs around the area.

Fishing Season
Salmon & Seatrout – 1st March to 14th October
Brown Trout – 15th March to 6th October
Rainbow Trout – All year on selected lochs

We can also offer some course fishing, mainly pike.
