Visitor Attractions
Crawick Multiverse is an amazing land art installation to explore and enjoy cosmology, science and art or just to walk your dog in the beautiful landscape.

About Crawick Multiverse

The Crawick Multiverse is a 55-acre former open cast coal mine now transformed into a striking landscape of distinctive landforms, each one representing astronomical and cosmological features and theories and is the vision of the late Charles Jencks.

When you arrive at the Multiverse, you will be welcomed at The Coalface. Here you can purchase tickets and refreshments during our opening hours, and staff will be on hand to tell you more about the site. There are toilet facilities and sheltered areas to rest. The Coalface name reflects its mining history and heritage.

Whatever route you choose to explore, you will enjoy fantastic views of the landforms. A climb up to Belvedere, the highest point, will be rewarded with spectacular views not only of the whole site itself, but also the surrounding valley and beyond.

Perfect for days out, school trips, community outings, dog walks, picnics, family fun and overnight stays (in your campervan or motorhome). Coach parties, group visits and private tours are also welcome!
