At Cavens, our food ethos is all about top quality ingredients and tasty, unpretentious dishes. These are freshly prepared by Angus, who has trained with the best and maintains a real passion for local produce. Our menus reflect the best of the season, whether that means fresh pan-fried scallops or free range duck. This approach also extends to our own grounds and in every dinner you will find something picked or gathered on site. Max table size in restaurant is four. Larger parties use the Green Room.
The other hidden gem at Cavens is our 18th century wine cellar. We are always looking to source excellent wines at a fair price, perfectly matched to our current menus. Following an excellent meal, you are then welcome to sink into an easy chair and enjoy a liquer with coffee and chocolates by a real fire place.
