Details

Good food in a traditional pub.

The Auldgirth Inn is set in the wonderfully picturesque Nithsdale valley. Built in the 1500’s the Auldgirth Inn began as a sanctuary for Monks as they travelled from Melrose to Galloway. It has since been a Blacksmiths and a fishing bar before being transformed into the traditional pub/hotel familiar to many nationwide.

They use locally sourced produce to create imaginative bar meals, seasonal and varied, featuring lamb and pork from Dunscore, prime Lockerbie beef and west coast landed fish.

In autumn months pheasant, rabbit and venison is available from neighbouring estates.
