Glenquicken is a family run trout fishery.Located in Creetown, South West Scotland.

The 4.5 acre trout loch is stalked with Rainbow, Blue and Brown Trout.

 

Founded in 1947 Stranraer and District Angling Association offers visiting anglers a diverse choice, from remote wild brown trout fishing, to a well stocked user friendly loch especially suited to the younger and disadvantaged anglers as well as those wishing to explore the fishing whilst visiting the area.

The Association welcomes visitors who will find members always happy and willing to offer advice, however don’t necessarily expect them to share all their secrets!!!

Welcome to Broom Fisheries, home to Scotland’s leading coarse fishing lakes and waters, nestled away in a quiet, picturesque corner of South West Scotland.

You’ll find us at Newbie, two miles from the nearby market town of Annan in beautiful Dumfries & Galloway, and less than 25 miles from Carlisle.

Fishing at Broom

Coarse fishing is a growing sporting activity in Scotland, and we have 9 fully stocked lakes here at Broom Fisheries, including a purpose built canal, that make us famous for the quality and variety of course fishing that we offer, attracting keen anglers for leisure and competition fishingalike.

We are hoping that by providing a range of excellent facilities to visitors and tourists, Broom Fisheries will continue to build on the hard work of Scotland’s coarse fishing community and increase interest in coarse angling across Scotland and the rest of the UK.

Situated within easy access of the M6 and M74, Broom Fisheries’ peaceful and natural environment attracts regular anglers from all over the country.

Whether you’re a seasoned professional or a complete novice, we’ve got something for everyone at The Tackle Box, our fully stocked, on-site tackle shop. From new fishing rods to bait, our experienced staff are always on hand to give professional advice and guidance.

Broom Caravan and Campsite

Facilities

Dogs are welcome on the campsite, which is situated within a fantastic 200-acre private estate. We also have beach access and plenty of opportunities for bird watching in a peaceful environment.

For those interested specifically in coarse fishing, the caravan and campsite is situated just 100 metres from the bank side.

Loch Ryan Leisure operate a fast RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat)  sailing from Portpatrick Harbour in South West Scotland. Charters are available ranging from 30 minutes up to a trip to Ailsa Craig, Belfast or even the Isle of Man. (more…)

Drumlanrig Castle and Country Estate
