Rockhall is a 16th century Tower House set in an idyllic location, well situated for exploring
Southwest Scotland. All bedrooms are en-suite and tastefully furnished, with views across Dumfries
to Criffel or the house’s gardens.
Amongst the 10.65 acres at Rockhall Tower are sweeping lawns, mature woodland, walnut groves, a
winding burn, pond and well established walkways. Numerous hidden gems throughout the grounds
include a wedding stone dated 1720 marking a Greirson wedding.  A mystery grade B-listed monument, said to mark the grave of a once well-loved horse.

We have two letting rooms, both en-suite. At the very top of the house, so the views towards Criffel and the Solway Coast from The Angus are quite wonderful. We provide binoculars in Angus!.

Beltie has great views of the acres of mature woodland, pond and beautiful flora and fauna. We have a self service start to your first meal of the day consisting of fresh fruit, yoghurts, nuts and seeds, and cereals. We serve you a choice of Filter coffee and various flavours of tea. You can then have your pre booked ( we are mindful of waste ) hot course of delicious local Scottish breakfast staples including haggis, black pudding, sausages, tomatoes, eggs etc. You might not manage lunch!

You are free to sit in the breakfast room which has a cosy open fire and just outside here is a guest space with a log burner. We are bookworms and there is a vast range of books for you to borrow on your stay. We are happy to have chat with you and help in any way. The house is large, so ring the bell if you need anything!

There are two bedrooms one double and a bunk, and a sofa bed in the lounge, sleeping 6.

The living area has a log burner (central heating is also a benefit) with an open plan adjoining well-equipped kitchen. A shower room with w.c and sink is off the small hallway

The large decking has a hot tub for 6, seating, privacy screen and BBQ

Essentially you can hide away from the busy world but stay connected with fibre optic broadband and Netflix.

We welcome well-behaved dogs.

"Peter Maclean a week ago on Google 5/5 I stayed here recently 03/06/19 for two nights and quite frankly I wish I could have stayed longer, much longer. What an absolute pleasure it was to walk into this stunning 16th century building full of character and warmth. I was greeted with a friendly and welcoming smile from the host Kirsty and led up two flights of stairs to the top level. My room was called Angus and faced the front of the property with 3 small bay windows which flooded the room with light. The room ( impressively large ) was furnished in a contemporary and luxurious style reflective of a 5 star hotel, including a king size plus bed with fluffy mattress topper, large flat panel TV and luxurious bath robes. The shower in the stylish ensuite has twin shower heads and super water pressure. Breakfast in the morning had a variety of healthy options and the obligatory 'Scottish' cooked options including free range eggs, Haggis, mushrooms and sweet grilled cherry tomatoes. I cant say enough about this property except Calum and Kirsty provide ridiculously good value and sensationally fabulous B & B in every way which I'm sure is a future tourism award winner. "
