We are just a few minutes walk from Portpatrick Golf Course which has both an 18 hole (Dunskey) and  9 Hole course. Preferential rates (on weekdays) are available for our guests at Portpatrick, Stranraer and Wigtownshire County Golf Courses. The putting green at Portpatrick is always very popular.

While Portpatrick has a population in the hundreds we have enough restaurants for visitors to eat somewhere different every night of the week. You can even dine in a nearby 3 AA Rosette restaurant and we can collect you when you are ready to return to your B&B accommodation at Rickwood.

Relax in our hot tub with a view!

Portpatrick is a delightful harbourside village on the coast of the Irish Sea. On clear nights, you can see the lights twinkling on the coast of Northern Ireland and the sun setting behind the Mourne Mountains!

Portpatrick is a great centre for touring the Rhins and Machars of Galloway including the Mull of Galloway, Scotland’s most southerly point, Wigtown – Scotland`s Book Town, Whithorn – Scotland`s Cradle of Christianity. We are also near Galloway Forest Park and the Galloway Hills.

Culzean Castle is a popular attraction for our visitors. The run up the Ayrshire Coast from Portpatrick to Culzean along the SWC300 is one of the most scenic for miles. You can stop off at Dunure on the way or check out the Electric Brae!  Ayr with its history of Rabbie Burns is only a few miles further up the coast from Culzean and is also a popular day trip from Portpatrick.

Don`t miss the ever popular Portpatrick Folk Festival on the first weekend of September.

So please book a few nights R&R at our B&B with a hot tub in Portpatrick, Dumfries & Galloway in South West Scotland! You can read more about us on TripAdvisor

"Excerpts from latest Trip Advisor Reviews:- Perfect in every way - the best B&B in the UK, nothing could be done to improve this guest house. It has a lovely feel from the minute you walk in the door as you are made so welcome.... Loved the hot tub - just the right temperature! Our room was spotless, with a lovely sea after dinner dip in the hot tub was a perfect way to round off our evening...will definitely return and will recommend... The rooms were warm and spotless..breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection. We have been to Campbells and The Waterfront for evening meals and both have been great "
