About Pend House Lettings

The Pend is a 15th Century monastic gatehouse, which serves at the entrance to historic Whithorn Priory. Its archway is surmounded by the Royal Arms of Scotland, dating to around 1500. Next door is the Precinct House, an 18th Century townhouse, at the heart of Whithorn's Conservation Area. About ten miles away is Victorian Faldarroch Farm, once a small dairy farm, and now an historic property with large paddock and grounds available for holiday lets.
All three properties have been lovingly restored with authentic period features, open fires, but updated with the best of modern convenience, such as underfloor heating, log burners and wi-fi. The Pend is furnished with oak furnishings, lime-plastered walls, and has two public rooms, with a four-poster oak bed and two box-beds in the twin room. The Precinct House has generous public rooms downstairs, including a glass-roofed atrium. Upstairs it has a king-size four poster and a compact box bedroom for a single person. Faldarroch sits within its own grounds, with no neighbours, and has one generous-sized double room with king-sized Victorian four-poster and a family room with three beds (two cabin beds and a single). Faldarroch's dining-kitchen is in the open plan living area, and has an open fire and a working Victorian range. Adjacent to the house is its own pond, which is rich in wildlife, and a paddock where you may meet the donkeys. All properties are personally managed by the owner and a dedicated team of local cleaners.
