Sleeps: 6
Price from: £420.00 to £975.00 pw

A coastal Estate

boasting spectacular sea views over the stunning Solway Firth.

Kirkdale Estate is situated only five minutes from the popular town of Gatehouse of Fleet.

The Estate is ideally placed to take advantage of all that Dumfries and Galloway has to offer. Situated only twenty minutes from both Castle Douglas Food Town and Kirkcudbright which is famous for its artists and also Wigtown, Scotland’s Book Town.

We have two stunning detached self catering holiday cottages,

Both sleep 2-6 guests

The cottages are traditional Galloway houses with wood-burning stoves and central heating so they are beautifully warm and snug.

Kirkdale Port Cottage sits at the end of a private track on the Estate and offers incredible sea views over the stunning Solway Firth.

Garden Cottage is idyllically situated in the corner of its own private two acre walled garden for holiday guests to enjoy.

Both cottages are in their own peaceful location away from any other property..

We are family friendly and pet friendly.

Our cottages are family friendly, have enclosed gardens and and welcome pets.

The situation of each property means that you can completely escape from the hustle and bustle.

Yet if you wish you can seek out a huge variety of activities on your doorstep.

The magnificent Galloway Forest Park.

Offering mountain biking and walking, trails. Stargazing and visitor centres with cafes, is on our doorstep. As are many beautiful sandy beaches.

The area offers

Golf and tennis, walking and mountain biking.

Fishing, sailing and watersports. Clays and archery and there are many attractions.

Threave Castle and Gardens and Broughton House are within easy reach of the cottages.

You can get to Cream ‘o Galloway the famous ice cream maker and the Cocoa Bean Chocolate factory within ten minutes.

There are many stunning gardens to visit in South West Scotland. For example Logan Botanic Gardens and Elizabeth McGregor plant nursery. Cally Gardens and Castle Kennedy Gardens.

The area benefits from a wonderful mild climate thanks to the Gulf Stream.

Galloway Forest Park is the first Dark Sky Park in the UK winning Gold Tier status from the International Dark Sky Association.

So confirming it as one of the best places for stargazing in the world.

Fantastically situated to offer access to all the very best that the region has to offer. Kirkdale Estate is only 2 – 2.5 from Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The Estate is situated in the Galloway Unesco Biosphere, awarded as the area has been internationally recognised as a world class environment for people and nature.
