Hensol Estate Holidays offers you a unique and wonderful experience, with Loch Ken on one side and Woodhall Loch on the other.

Enjoy the tranquility of the country side, whilst camping under the stars of the UK’s first Dark Skies Park on the edge of the Galloway Forest within Dumfries & Galloway.

We have some lovely onsite riverside walks, which take you to two RSPB Bird Hides overlooking the Ken-Dee marsh reserves.

Or onto the goose/kite viewing platform, all three offer excellent opportunities for learning and viewing the local wildlife.

For those fishing enthusiasts you can cast your rod on Woodhall Loch. Or enjoy a water experience of kayaking or paddle boarding on Loch Ken and Woodhall Loch

We offer minimal amenities onsite.

W/C, hot showers and a dish washing station. Fire pits and BBQ area.

There is a local shop in Mossdale that provides basic essentials, you are required to call in advance.

We also offer Hensol Lodge as a self Catering option

Also for the more adventurous of you, or those wanting to learn Paddleboards and Kayaks can be hired and lessons are available
