The Heatheryhaugh lodges can be found just under a mile from the center of Moffat on the road that takes you to the well that once made Moffat a famous Spa town.
Build in the early eighties on the land of Heathery haugh house, in a parkland setting are four spacious and well appointed bungalows, identical in size and lay-out but all differently furnished.

Each lodge has a large open plan living space with a dining area and kitchen, three bedrooms, a master bedroom with kingsize bed, a large twin bedded room with en-suite and a smaller twin bedded room.

The lodges are a perfect place to unwind and enjoy peace and quiet, watch the birds from your sitting room window and possibly other wildlife like deer, badger and squirrel all have been spotted.
There are some lovely walks right on your doorstep, ideal for those who like to bring their four footed friends on holiday. Moffat itself is a lovely town with lots of places to eat and drink and plenty of attractive independent shops to spend your money. A park with a boating pond, a putting green(both seasonal) and a children's play area.
The Moffat golf course welcomes visitors and if fishing is your thing the Green frog offers some great pond fishing
Nature lovers are well catered for in Moffat with our local nature reserve Dyke Farm and for a visit to Craigieburn gardens and a little further afield is the Grey Mare's tail and st Mary's loch and a chance to spot a Golden eagle since five birds have been released in our valley. Not to mention two birdwatchers sanctuaries, Caerlaverock wetlands and RSPB Mersehead

If historic houses and gardens are of interest, there are quite a few in the area, Drumlanrig castle and Caerlaverock Castle nr Dumfries, Threave Castle nr Castle Douglas, Bow hill nr Selkirk, Traquair House nr Innerleithen.

A visit to the Buddhist Samye Ling Monastery in Eskdalemuir is well worth it

For those who would like to visit the Capitol Edinburgh, it is only one and a half hours away and Glasgow can be reached in an hour.

Just over the border is the the city of Carlisle with it's castle and cathedral and the Tullie house museum that tells of the history of the Border Reivers and the debatable lands, the border wars between Scotland and England. The 'Devil's Beeftub' nr Moffat harks back to those times.
