"Ah, where to begin? Simply a gem in B&B's, fully living up to its reputation of Scotland’s most hospitable B&B. A very hospitable and warm welcome by Ronnie, who was not shy of a nice small talk with us, great! Our room and bathroom were a little bit small for our liking, but far less important to us as compared to the rest, which was more than perfect: the clenliness of the B&B, the service and the breakfast. In addition, both the room and bathroom were newly decorated, furnished and absolutely spotless. It gave a feeling of a luxury hotel room. We really liked the fact that the food is local and really home made and absolutely great in taste and choice for that matter! The B&B itself is in a small and lovely place called St John's Town of Dalry, but they do have a great pub called the Clachan Inn which serves great food and has this real old (historic) feeling to it. We also chose the Brookford because of its convenient location in respect to the Galloway Forest Park, which is a very nice nature park to do some hiking and other activities. In short: absolutely great stay, really worthwhile and would definitely recommend it to others! Thank you Ronnie for making our holiday that more enjoyable! "
