BERRY COTTAGE

My 1 Bedroom, Cottage – In NEW LUCE – Along with your dry camping options in our village, Nadav`s Shed & Candida Casa.

Berry Cottage Is located in New Luce, Scotland’s Best Wee village 2019. Newton Stewart. DG8 0AJ.

Berry Cottage. Is my wee, 1 bedroom detached, fully fitted, cottage which sleeps 2 people. Just ask if you need a roof for a night or longer.

My properties are ideal for those walking on The Southern Upland Way (SUW) visiting S. W. Scotland, Driving our SWC300 or passing through by bike or car.  Users currently include people using the the Ferries to Ireland, Visiting The West Coast, Glasgow  Airports and beyond.

Holiday availability can also be seen on Cottages.com. Booking.com, or Airbnb. Be aware that sites do not always reflect the situation on the ground, so check with me if necessary.

Whilst Berry Cottage sits alongside my Dry Camping options of Nadav`s Shed & Candida Casa.  It has a private enclosed garden, with a small pond.  Please be aware that I also have chickens & Ducks, plus 2 other small ponds in and around the other properties.  Young children should be supervised at all times.

If I am away, just book it for yourself on one of the above.  Your friend, and Pets, are welcome, just ask for details and price.

With myself for best option and if you only want 1 night.  I do not save any Bank or any other details apart from that what is required currently for Covid test and trace.

Social Media – Free Wi-Fi is available in all properties, for your Apps.

Other Accommodation

Nadav`s Shed & Candida Casa are suitable for up to 2-4-6 or up to 8 people At about £10 per person per night.   With a minimum charge of £40, for 1 or 2 people, with sleeping bags or own bedding. which may include children; there is a small variety of beds. Including a bed settee, 2 single beds, 1 single Chair that folds down to a bed, even a camping bed you can make up as required, check when you book.   Or like many,  just use your mats in any of the 2 rooms, available in each property.

If your sleeping bag is wet, I have a couple of bags with clean inners for you to hire, whilst we dry yours.

Because smoking, cooking or flames are not allowed in Nadav`s Shed, a kettle, toaster and microwave is provided to heat your pre-prepared food. there is also a small table top fridge, for your milk or drinks.  However larger parties can use both or all 3 properties and use the full cooking facilities in Candida Casa.

There is a separate shared cooking area outside for BBQ and stoves, 2 fire pits are also available and if required I can let you have a single use BBQ tray for a small fee. or even fire logs and charcoal.   Make sure you ask before you come, so I have some

A Porta Potti facility is in a cubby,  on the front Porch of Nadav`s Shed, for your use. If you fill it you empty it, just like a caravan.

Showers are by arrangement on site, or in Candida Casa if booked.  With the host when required, and when current Covid rules allow.

Easy Access. 

In an emergency, Bedding & Linen, for Nadav`s Shed, or Candida Casa can be supplied and paid for before use.  In Berry Cottage bedding and linen is standard, as provided by the cleaner who cleans to current approved cleaning standards.

I can arrange to ferry guests to and from transport hubs, shops.

In addition, If I am available guests can be transported to and from walking points, places of interest or restaurants.  There is also a taxi service Based in Stranraer.

Hotel grounds & view from one of our two Bridges, 60 yards from the Shed.

Our hotel is currently closed and being refurbished as a village community Hotel and Hub.

I can act as a knowledgeable guide if required.

Locked covered pushbike storage and a locked yard for motorbikes is available on request.

A grocery or take away food delivery service can be used.  Our shop/Post Office is open 5 mornings a week.
