Barrhill Woods Bed and Breakfast
This new Bed and breakfast, located in the delightful harbour town on the River Dee, Kirkcudbright is a gem in Dumfries and Galloway, is ideal for a quiet, relaxing stay.
Do you love walking, cycling, fishing, golf, art, photography and stunning scenery? Visiting Dumfries and Galloway, and more importantly, using Kirkcudbright as a base to explore is a great choice. With its range of independent shops and many galleries Kirkcudbright (pronounced Kur-coo-bree) is also known as the Artists Town.
Barrhill Woods B&B is located in an elevated position above the town just beneath Barrhill Woods. There is just a short walk into the town to sample the delights it has to offer.
If wildlife, art and photography is your interest, look no further. The woods, which are just a minute or two’s walk away, has a wildlife hide that is easy, and free, to access. There is an abundance of birds and plenty of red squirrels, so it should be possible to take some delightful images.
Alternatively for the writers and creative types, relaxing in my B&B should inspire.
If you have mobility challenges, the access is via a ramp. All facilities are on one level. The private bathroom to Bedroom One has a door into the bath, a winch strap within, plus a powerful over head shower. There is also a deployable handle by the standard height toilet.
To aid a restful nights sleep the bedding in all the rooms is luxurious Egyptian Cotton. The location is also peaceful and quiet.
To start your day, indulge in a 5 course breakfast. With fruit juice, fresh fruit salad, cereal, yoghurt and a full cooked English or Scottish breakfast the choice is yours.
