Heather and Jonathon welcome you to their home, the Ardchoille B&B, offering comfortable bed & breakfast accommodation in the attractive coastal village of Portpatrick in Scotland’s Dumfries & Galloway.
Situated overlooking the putting green and 100 yards from the sea front and harbour, we are conveniently placed for local walks and coastal scenery. Outside Ardchoille has a peaceful, pretty garden and ample off street parking. There is also secure storage for cycles etc. Well behaved dogs are most welcome (free).
Portpatrick has pubs and restaurants offering food to suit all tastes, many within 200 yards and some offering outside eating. The village has several shops for daily necessities, newspapers, Post Office, cash machine and gifts.
Stranraer, 8 miles away, has shops for most needs including supermarkets, petrol and Tourist Information Centre.
There are tennis courts, bowling and putting green within 100 yards and two golf courses nearby.
The start/finish of the Southern Upland Way is 300 yards from the front door.
The surrounding area has gardens, beaches and beautiful countryside to explore with many tea rooms for refreshments. Fishing, walking and bird watching are popular pastimes with both locals and visitors.
