    Always wanted to visit there

We went there then bought a caravan at sandgreen, a lady was chatting to us and said to go and have a look there. I said. I didn't want one but we we went and 2weeks later bought one.

    #VSWSLoch Trool in Autumn

This is a scene that's been in my mind's eye for many, many years and I was very fortunate to capture this striking autumnal scene from the banks of Loch Trool on my first visit to the exact spot last weekend. I went on a recce trip a week before the image was taken - although it was to visit another part of Loch Trool instead. On that trip, I noticed that the autumn colour wasn't quite there and felt another week would do it. Then, when the weather forecast just happened to be optimal a week later - I went back down and was rewarded with a picture perfect scene. All I had to do was make sure I got it on film. I shot 2 rolls of Velvia 50 film for a total of 8 frames of different exposures and graduated filter placements (just to be sure) and sent it for processing to the lab. After a nervous wait of just under a week - my mind was put at ease when I viewed the gorgeous 6x17cm slide on my light table. Sometimes, things just seem to click into place - and that is one of the most satisfying things about landscape photography.
