Kirsty Cottage is a traditional Scottish stone dormer cottage dating back more than 250 years. The house has been fully modernised and is equipped with everything you need for a cosy, welcoming holiday home. It has a modern gas fired central heating system, plus a traditional open fireplace in the lounge. Logs and coal are provided. Fuel, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. A travel cot is available by arrangement.
Located just off the High Street, it is in a quiet setting, yet the many shops, pubs and restaurants in Moffat are all within five minutes’ walk.
Moffat is an excellent base for walkers of all abilities. Around the town is a network of footpaths through fields, woodlands and along the river bank.
Hill walkers can explore the Moffat Hills to the north and east and the Lowther Hills to the south and west. Spectacular scenery in the area includes the Grey Mare’s Tail – a 100m high cascade in the valley of the Moffat Water.
The town is just an hour’s drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow and the border towns of Hawick and Peebles are also easily accessible.
